When and why did you start training to be a Slap Fighter?

I started slap fighting in 2019 with Slap Fight championship. I got a call from the CEO during their 3rd event to try it out during a heavyweight tournament. I completed and enjoyed the sport and stuck with it. I decided to train for it and put MMA aside for a while.

What does fighting in Power Slap mean for you and your career?

Fighting in Power Slap is a great experience for me. It’s gotten me to meet one of the three people I’ve always wanted to (Dana White). It’s great for the sport of slap fighting to be on cable TV, and I think it’s a great way to promote the sport and means a lot to me to get the call to compete here, having a (pre PS) slap fight record of 11-3.

What are your ultimate goals in fighting?

My ultimate goals in fighting are competing and seeing the sport grow. Yes, I’d like to be the champ in my weight class at Power Slap, but to see the sport grow and see more competitors is a great thing for me.

What was your biggest takeaway from your time in the Power Slap house?

I didn’t have to stay in the house, being a coach on the show. The house, when I visited, was a nice house and a great place from the looks of it. As far as living there, my hat’s off to the guys; I couldn’t live there. No phones, no TVs, people getting upset and drinking, not my kind of atmosphere.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?

Don’t have a worst thing I’ve done. I didn’t stay in the house. As for life, none. You learn from mistakes.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever done?

Best thing I’ve done is have my kids.

Is there anyone you’d like to slap fight against?

I don’t really have a preference on who I’m competing against. I ain’t someone to call someone out. I’m looking forward to competing against Darius; we have slap fighting history and I’m looking forward to the win this time.

Occupation/past occupation(s):

My occupation is driving a lumber truck, delivering lumber, doors, windows, etc.
