Rory James makes his Power Slap debut bringing 16 years of professional wrestling experience and a career built around toughness, longevity, and championship success.

A veteran of the independent wrestling circuit, James is the current NWA Texas Champion and has held the title for more than 500 days, making him the second-longest reigning champion in its history. His wrestling résumé also includes championships with Reality of Wrestling, Booker T’s promotion, along with several lengthy title reigns across the Texas wrestling scene.

James began training for Power Slap in May with the goal of becoming a true dual-sport athlete, competing simultaneously in professional wrestling and slap fighting.

“I want to win the middleweight championship and hold championships in PowerSlap as well as Pro wrestling.”

His Power Slap debut comes against someone he knows well from the wrestling world, Tino.

“I love Tino. He’s a good friend to me and one of my favorite people to wrestle on the independent circuit. But I’m slapping his mustache off if I gotta!”

For James, Power Slap is also an opportunity to test himself outside of professional wrestling and prove his physical and mental toughness in a completely different environment.

Outside of competition, James works as a video editor and operates his own production company, Shuttersnake Edits. He has also worked as a professional driver and personal trainer.

After more than a decade and a half in professional wrestling, Rory James enters Power Slap looking to add another championship pursuit to his career.
