When and why did you start training to be a Slap Fighter? I started training after doing the recording of the show in Vegas. I started training because I knew that this is a legit platform to make a better life for my family and helps accomplish my goals in a huge way.

What does fighting in Power Slap mean for you and your career? First and foremost, it helps me be able to provide for the most important people in my life, my wife and son. A little under a year ago, we were homeless, living in motels, hotels, and out of our car, and taking showers at local gyms just trying to make ends meet. Power Slap helped me and my family get on a better path for life! So fighting is everything for my career!

Second, I get to represent not only for my family but for my Samoan and Māori cultures and all the Polynesian people in the world. Hopefully, by being here I can inspire the all the generations that it doesn’t matter how old or young you are, anything is possible if you work for it and seize every moment and take every opportunity that comes your way to make your life better!

Lastly, it helps verify that what I have been trying to accomplish in life is actually attainable, which I always knew, but it helps those that didn’t believe in me to realize I’m legit.

What are your ultimate goals in fighting? My goal is to become the undefeated Super Heavyweight Champion of the World and never lose. My goal is to also hopefully use this platform to become a pro wrestler in the WWE and to become financially stable!

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done? The worst thing I have ever done is allow myself to give up and let myself go and gain 150 pounds since Covid. But now I’m changing my life for the better!

What’s the best thing you’ve ever done? The best thing I have ever done is marry my best friend and beautiful wife Liana Tyler Manū and become my son Wainohia’s Dad!
