“The ultimate goal is to climb the ranks and bring home a championship.”

James Ball makes his Power Slap debut bringing more than three years of professional wrestling experience and a journey defined by persistence and rebuilding.

An independent professional wrestler, Ball found his way into the industry through the Texas Wrestling Academy in San Antonio. Wrestling became an important turning point in his life during a difficult period, and he credits head trainer Rudy Gonzalez and his fellow wrestlers with helping him regain his direction.

“Professional Wrestling was there for me when I was at my lowest and was trying to break out of this mindset that I can’t do anything with my life.”

Now transitioning from professional wrestling into slap fighting, Ball is approaching Power Slap with the same work ethic that helped him build his wrestling career.

“This is a big opportunity for me and I plan on taking it to the highest level I can.”

Ball was originally preparing to face Christopher Debow before an opponent change, but his mindset remains the same — make the most of his debut and prove he belongs on the Power Slap stage.

“I have a lot to prove in my debut.”

For Ball, simply competing isn’t the end goal. He wants to work his way through the welterweight division and eventually compete for a championship.

“The ultimate goal is to climb the ranks and bring home a championship.”

From finding a new direction through professional wrestling to taking on his next challenge in Power Slap, James Ball enters his debut determined to make the opportunity count.
