I saw the power, the presence, the moment. Something clicked.

Jaidan “The Koala” Fa’anana-Schultz is a physically tough and rising Power Slap competitor with a background rooted in rugged manual labor, rugby, and a strong multicultural fighting spirit.

Born in Australia with Samoan heritage, Fa’anana-Schultz brings a natural toughness and work ethic shaped by years of physically demanding jobs and competitive sport, including rugby, golf, and cricket. He currently works out of Fort Bragg with Storm Patrollers on the historic Skunk Train, where he helps maintain train tracks by clearing fallen trees and debris — work he describes as grounding and demanding.

“It’s tough, physical work. The kind that keeps you grounded.”

His path into Power Slap began while working long days in piano moving alongside his friend James “The Reaper” Reddey. After being introduced to the sport through his brother in the space, Fa’anana-Schultz quickly became drawn to the intensity, presence, and raw power of slap fighting.

“I saw the power, the presence, the moment. Something clicked.”

For Fa’anana-Schultz, Power Slap represents an opportunity to build a true fighting career and potentially transition into MMA or boxing in the future, while showcasing the grit and fighting spirit he believes comes from his background.

“I really want to train in MMA/Boxing and this is a perfect way to get my name out there.”

Ahead of his matchup with Luke Simonds, he expressed deep respect for his opponent while acknowledging the magnitude of the moment.

“Luke Simonds. OG in Power Slap — absolute legend. Truly blessed to share the stage with him and trade. This is going to be a battle everyone will remember.”

Driven by perseverance and a willingness to earn his way up the hard path, “The Koala” enters Power Slap focused on climbing the ladder step by step and proving himself against the best.
