Desiree Yanez returns for her second Power Slap appearance looking to build on a successful debut and continue her climb through the women’s flyweight division.

Currently ranked No. 5, Yanez earned a decision victory over Julia Ho at Power Slap 15. She brings extensive combat sports experience to the stage, having competed professionally in MMA for organizations including Bellator, PFL, LFA, and Fury FC. She has also competed in Dirty Boxing, where she earned a victory over UFC veteran Mariya Agapova.

Yanez began training for Power Slap in August 2025, drawn to the opportunity to join a growing sport and establish herself as one of its top competitors.

“This sport has so much potential to be as big as the UFC and I know I can bring a lot to the table and even become a power slap champion.”

Her biggest motivation comes outside of competition. Yanez is the mother of a two-year-old daughter, Aiyana, and credits her with giving new meaning to her fighting career.

“It means everything to me. To provide for my family.”

With years of experience across combat sports and her sights firmly set on championship gold, Desiree Yanez returns to Power Slap ready to take another step toward the top of the women’s flyweight division.
