“Winning is the only acceptable outcome.”
Casey “Grizzly” Stephens is a reigning Slap Fight Championships Super Heavyweight Champion and elite arm wrestler bringing years of power training, durability, and competitive experience into Power Slap.
Before entering slap fighting professionally, Stephens built a reputation in the arm wrestling world, ranking as the No. 3 left-handed arm wrestler in California and No. 14 right-handed competitor in the state while also going undefeated right-handed during his first amateur season.
Stephens says his introduction to slap fighting dates all the way back to the late 2000s, when early viral slap videos first began circulating online. Originally training slaps alongside Muay Thai workouts using heavy bags and striking dummies, what started as a fun side challenge eventually evolved into a serious pursuit.
“I started training for it around 2007-2008… back then it was just for fun, but now the fun is real.”
For Stephens, competing in Power Slap represents the highest level possible in the sport and an opportunity to prove himself against the best athletes in the world.
“Can’t consider myself the best if I don’t fight where the best are.”
Known for his toughness and confidence, Stephens enters matchups expecting one outcome only — victory — while aiming to build both a legacy of winning and entertainment.
“Winning is the only acceptable outcome.”
Ahead of his matchup with Cedrice “LaFlare” Paillant, Stephens acknowledged his opponent’s athleticism but questioned his experience level inside the sport.
“Cedrice Paillant seems tough but inexperienced… possibly another to add to my list of people who can’t knock me out.”
Outside of competition, Stephens has worked in construction, built swimming pools, and even operated in the mushroom cultivation business. He also credits overcoming depression as one of the greatest victories of his life, shaping the mindset and resilience he carries into competition today.
With championship experience, knockout power, and a larger-than-life personality, “Grizzly” enters Power Slap focused on leaving a lasting mark on the sport’s super heavyweight division.
