Austin Jones makes his Power Slap debut bringing a background built on years of physical labor, a competitive mindset, and the motivation to prove to his family that he can compete on the Power Slap stage.

A father of two, Jones has followed Power Slap with his sons for years before finally getting the opportunity to compete himself. What started as training at home with his boys became more serious once he was selected for his debut.

“It means that rather than just telling my kids ‘I could do that’ when watching PowerSlap on tv. I am actually capable of following through.”

Jones enters his debut embracing the underdog role and believes he’s ready to make the most of his opportunity.

“They are trying to throw me to the wolves. Little do they know, you can’t throw a Lion to the wolves.”

Outside of Power Slap, Jones has spent his career self-employed and currently owns Stan & Sons Dirtwork LLC, specializing in land excavation and septic installation. He credits a lifetime of physically demanding work with helping build the strength and toughness he brings into competition.

Family remains at the center of everything for Jones, who considers supporting them his greatest accomplishment. Now, he has his sights set on making a run in Power Slap and eventually competing for championship gold.

With no traditional combat sports background but years of physical work behind him, Austin Jones enters Power Slap ready to prove he belongs.
