“I respect anyone who steps up, but this is a different game.”
Esteban “Prince” Sabedra is a rising Power Slap competitor with a Muay Thai background, high-level striking experience, and a personal journey built on discipline, accountability, and transformation.
Sabedra began training Muay Thai in 2018 in San Diego, California, eventually compiling an undefeated 3-0 amateur record while sharpening his skills through extensive sparring and live competition. A major part of his development came under striking coach Jhanex Alviz, who has worked with UFC athletes including Michael Chandler, Jeremy Stephens, and Cat Zingano.
That experience helped Sabedra refine his timing, fundamentals, and striking precision before transitioning into slap fighting in June 2025.
“Power Slap is my lane right now. It’s where I prove myself, climb the rankings, and separate from everyone else.”
Focused on becoming one of the division’s top athletes, Sabedra says he is not entering the sport simply to compete — he is chasing greatness and building a legacy of his own.
“I’m not here just to compete. I’m here to become one of the best in the division.”
Ahead of his matchup, Sabedra acknowledged his opponent’s background in lucha libre while emphasizing the unique challenge Power Slap presents.
“I respect anyone who steps up, but this is a different game.”
Outside of competition, Sabedra works as a Registered Behavior Therapist, providing therapy and support for children diagnosed with autism and those on the spectrum.
His path to Power Slap has also included major personal adversity. Sabedra openly speaks about serving time in federal prison shortly after turning 18, calling it one of the toughest experiences of his life and a turning point that forced him to grow, take accountability, and rebuild his future.
“The best thing I’ve ever done was completely change my life after serving time, stay disciplined, and build my life around structure, training, and growth.”
With refined striking skills, a disciplined mindset, and a relentless drive to succeed, “Prince” enters Power Slap determined to continue climbing the ranks and establishing himself among the sport’s elite.
