Recap All The Action, From The House To What Happened At The Striker’s Podium, On Episode 6 Of Power Slap: Road To The Title Season 3
Heavyweight Pono Pau learns that he has a broken pinky on his dominant right hand. Despite the injury, he plans to still fight against Devin Jenkins using his left. During his Team Trujiilo training, Pau teaches the rest of the strikers how to perform a motivational dance from his culture. After Jenkins and Pau make weight, it’s time for fight day. Jenkins wins the coin toss and strikes first. On the stage, both strikers are called for clubbing on their first slap. In the second round Pau drops Jenkins with a vicious knockout, and will be moving on in the competition.
At Team Turpin training the next day welterweight Dominik Melendez prepares for his upcoming matchup against Vince Tracey. At the weigh-in, both fighters exchange intense smack talk. The next morning, they head to the Apex and prepare for their fight. Tracey wins the coin toss and strikes first. For two rounds Tracey and Melendez prove they have tough chins, but in the third Tracey knocks Melendez out cold, securing the victory and a spot in round 2 of the competition.
At Team Trujillo training Broderick Rene prepares for his upcoming welterweight fight against Rayden Bombardier. Later that day, as Rayden is doing his prep work for the fight, Dana announces that Broderick was not cleared to compete by the Athletic Commission, so he will be replaced by alternate Neil Thomasson. After settling into the Slap House, Neil heads to the weigh-in where he faces off against Rayden. Because Neil came in last-minute, it is decided that the fight will be held at middleweight.
At the Apex the next day Neil and Rayden take to the stage. Neil wins the coin toss and slaps first.In an intense back-and-forth battle they eat shot after shot for three rounds. In the end, the judges give the unanimous decision to Rayden. With the win, Rayden is moving on in the competition.
