Johnny Magna enters Power Slap with a 2-0-1 record and a reputation as one of the division’s rising Heavyweight contenders.

Currently ranked No. 5 in the Power Slap Heavyweight division, Magna has built momentum with back-to-back knockout victories, including a second-round KO over Pono Pau at Power Slap 19 on April 17, 2026, and a first-round KO over Ricky South at Power Slap 15. He also earned a draw against Ryan Kenny at Power Slap 13, establishing himself as a dangerous competitor among the division’s elite.

Outside of Power Slap, Magna is a professional wrestler competing with NWA New Mexico under the name Johnny Magna. Now in his third year as a wrestler, he credits the sport with changing his life and motivating him to build a better future for his family.

Magna’s athletic journey extends beyond the ring and the slap stage. When he’s not competing, he works as a sushi chef at Sushi Freak in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he continues to represent his hometown and community.

A longtime fan of Power Slap, Magna saw the sport as an opportunity to create a legacy in a new form of combat competition.

For Magna, success in Power Slap is about more than personal achievement — it’s about representing Albuquerque and helping those around him grow alongside him.

With his sights set on a championship, Magna believes his size, athletic ability, and determination give him the tools to reach the top of the division.

“My goal is to use my God-given abilities to carry me where other men may not be able to go.”
