Patricia “The Rez Girl” Blackburn is an MMA competitor and emerging Power Slap athlete known for her toughness, discipline, and ability to thrive under pressure on the big stage.

A lifelong competitor, Blackburn’s athletic foundation began in basketball before transitioning into combat sports, where she built a 1-1 amateur MMA record with fights in 2017 and 2024. She continues to train in MMA and plans to compete again, bringing that same mindset and experience into slap fighting.

Her introduction to Power Slap came after attending Power Slap 10, where she witnessed the sport firsthand and was immediately drawn to the intensity and atmosphere of the event.

“I came to Power Slap 10. I watched Blackburn and fell in love with it. It’s a different experience in person.”

For Blackburn, Power Slap represents a platform to test herself, showcase her abilities, and represent her culture and community while letting her performance speak for itself on a global stage.

“It’s an opportunity to test myself and show what I’m capable of on a big stage. It also gives me a chance to represent my people and my culture.”

Now stepping into competition, Blackburn approaches every matchup with a takeover mentality, focused on making highlight-reel moments and climbing the ranks quickly.

“It’s a debut for both of us, but I’m treating it like a takeover, not a trial run.”

Outside of competition, she works as a Home Loan Originator, balancing her professional career with her athletic pursuits. Her journey reflects resilience, growth, and the ability to step away from what holds her back in order to build a better life.

Blackburn enters Power Slap with a clear mission — compete at the highest level, make an impact, and rise through the division with confidence and purpose.
