POWER SLAP AND MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCE FIVE-YEAR LAS VEGAS EVENT PARTNERSHIP

MGM Resorts to become the exclusive Official Home of Power Slap in Las Vegas from 2026-2030

Power Slap 19 to be held Friday, April 17 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (March 23, 2026) – MGM Resorts International, the global gaming and entertainment icon, and Power Slap, the world’s leading slap fighting promotion led by Dana White, are announcing a five-year live event residency and partnership. As the Official Home of Power Slap through 2030, MGM Resorts will host four live Power Slap events per year, beginning with Power Slap 19 on Friday, April 17 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Power Slap 20 will take place Friday, May 15, Power Slap 21 will take place Friday, July 10, and the fourth Power Slap event under the 2026 residency will be announced at a later date. The partnership will also see MGM Resorts and Power Slap teaming up to provide fans with exclusive on-site experiences and hospitality at the events.

In its three-year history, Power Slap has grown to a globally recognized combat sport with more than 30 million followers and over 25 billion views across social and digital media. Known for its world-class sold-out live events, social media virality and influencer & celebrity attendance, the promotion moves to the heart of The Las Vegas Strip with MGM Resorts, the home of sports and entertainment in Las Vegas.

The first event in the long-term partnership – VeChain Power Slap 19: Da Hawaiian Hitman vs. Manu, presented by Monster Energy – will take place Friday, April 17 during Wrestlemania Weekend in Las Vegas.

Power Slap 19 will be headlined by a Super Heavyweight Title match between defending champion Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes (3-2), and undefeated #1 ranked Super Heavyweight contender Makini “Big Mak” Manu (5-0). At a combined weight of over 800 pounds, both slap fighters are known for ground-shaking knockouts and iron chins.

Also on the card, a Heavyweight Title showdown between champion Damien “The Bell” Dibbell (7-1) and challenger and slap fighting pioneer, Darius “The Destroyer” Mata-Varona (14-3). Dibbell is undefeated in Power Slap, and has dominated the Heavyweight division with over 1,000 days as champion and seven consecutive wins. Mata-Varona – one of the two coaches from Season 1 of Power Slap: Road to the Title, has been on an impressive 3-match win streak and looks to regain his place at the top of Power Slap.
