James “The Reaper” Reddey returns to Power Slap bringing a background in professional rugby, American football, and boxing. Standing 6’5″ and weighing 360 pounds, the English super heavyweight is looking to earn his first Power Slap victory and prove he still has what it takes to compete at the professional level.
Born and raised in London, England, Reddey spent years competing in physically demanding sports before retiring from professional rugby and football. With experience in boxing as well, he decided to pursue one final athletic challenge by entering the world of Power Slap.
Reddey began training for Power Slap approximately a year ago, viewing the sport as an opportunity to test himself in a new environment after stepping away from his previous athletic career.
“It’s allowing me to finish my combat sport career with a bang.”
He made his Power Slap debut on October 3, 2025, against Cedrice Paillant, suffering a second-round knockout loss. Despite the setback, Reddey remains determined to prove himself and continue competing against the best athletes in the division.
His next matchup comes against Kodai “Japanese Heavy Tank” Nozaki. For Reddey, the fight represents another opportunity to demonstrate his abilities and move closer to his ultimate goal of challenging for a championship.
Beyond competition, Reddey has recently made a significant change in his personal life, relocating approximately 1,200 miles from California to Roswell, New Mexico, with his partner. He is also pursuing a career in corrections at CCDC while continuing his Power Slap journey.
Above all, Reddey considers becoming a father his greatest personal accomplishment. His family remains an important part of his life as he balances his professional responsibilities with his athletic ambitions.
Having previously struggled with second-guessing his abilities, Reddey now sees Power Slap as a chance to challenge those doubts and prove that he can still perform on a professional stage.
With years of experience in rugby, football, and boxing, James “The Reaper” Reddey returns to Power Slap focused on securing his first victory and continuing his pursuit of a championship opportunity.
