My goal is to become the Power Slap Heavyweight Champion and bring that belt back to Atlanta.

Wes Mena enters his eighth Power Slap appearance as one of the Heavyweight division’s most experienced competitors, bringing a 4-3 record, elite athletic background, and a reputation for raw power.

A former Heavyweight title challenger, Mena fought Damien Dibbell for the Power Slap Heavyweight Championship at Power Slap 14 in 2025. He currently sits tied for third all-time in Heavyweight division wins with four victories and has collected wins over Aaron Turner, Devin Jenkins, Jashell Awa, and James Siekmann throughout his Power Slap career.

Mena is coming off a decision loss in the main event of Power Slap 18 and is looking to snap a three-fight skid while continuing his climb back toward championship contention.

Before entering Power Slap, Mena built a strong athletic foundation through football and wrestling. He played defensive tackle at Virginia Union University at the Division II level and developed his strength through years of training, including a 475-pound bench press during college. He also competed in amateur wrestling, placing third in the state in 2008 and finishing runner-up in the heavyweight division in 2009.

Mena trains at American Top Team Sandy Springs alongside UFC heavyweight Chris “Beast Boy” Barnett and the Lima brothers, while also holding a 0-1 professional MMA record.

His path to Power Slap began during Season 3 of Power Slap: Road to the Title, but the idea of slapping as competition goes back much further.

“My wrestling coach would slap me in the face before matches to pump me up, and it helped me win in seconds. I’ve always had that connection with the sport.”

Outside of competition, Mena is a successful bodyguard who has built a client base featuring more than 30 NFL athletes and other professional sports figures. He sees Power Slap as another platform to showcase his personality, grow the sport, and represent Atlanta on a global stage.

“My goal is to become the Power Slap Heavyweight Champion and bring that belt back to Atlanta.”

With championship experience, elite strength, and a never-back-down mentality, Wes Mena remains focused on climbing the rankings and proving he belongs among the best Heavyweights in Power Slap.
