“To become the next champion in the world and leave a legacy behind knowing I put a lot of effort into it.”
Gianni Huerta returns to Power Slap on short notice, stepping in for the injured Christopher Debow and looking to earn his first victory on the Power Slap stage.
Huerta brings an athletic background spanning wrestling, football, and basketball. After years of competing in traditional sports, he began training for slap fighting in October 2023 as a way to bring competition back into his life.
“I wanted to compete again in a sport and I thought I would be really great at slapping someone in the face.”
Since entering Power Slap, Huerta has embraced the challenge and credits the sport with bringing out a more competitive side of his personality.
“It means a lot to me because it pushes me to be more competitive to where I never thought I would be.”
His ambitions extend beyond earning his first win. Huerta ultimately wants to climb the division, compete for a championship, and leave behind a legacy built on the work he puts into the sport.
“To become the next champion in the world and leave a legacy behind knowing I put a lot of effort into it.”
Huerta also has unfinished business in mind, naming Anthony Defrank as an opponent he would like to face again after their previous meeting on Road to the Title.
With another opportunity in front of him, Gianni Huerta returns to Power Slap looking to capitalize on the moment and take the next step in his career.
