Maia Warkentin enters Power Slap as a debut competitor with a background built on strength, discipline, and elite athletic preparation through competitive bodybuilding.

A nationally qualified amateur bodybuilder in the Bikini Division, Warkentin has spent the past five years pursuing her goal of becoming a professional bodybuilder while also building a successful career as an IT Sales Executive. With no prior combat sports experience, she brings a unique combination of physical strength, dedication, and competitive drive to the Power Slap stage.

Warkentin was introduced to Power Slap after being recommended to attend a closed combine in December 2025. Already familiar with the MMA world and encouraged by others to test her strength in a new arena, she embraced the opportunity to begin her fighting career.

“This will be the start of my fighting career. I already have a full-time career in corporate America and have been pursuing the goal of becoming a professional bodybuilder full time for the last five years. Now that I’ve put bodybuilding on hold to focus on Power Slap, this will be a new experience for me as an athlete.”

Ahead of her debut, Warkentin is confident in her preparation and physical abilities, while ready to prove herself against her opponent.

“I’m not worried. I saw that she attended my combine and another one before that. She looks strong, but I look stronger.”

For Warkentin, Power Slap represents a new chapter in her athletic career and an opportunity to see how far she can push herself. Her goal is simple — win, continue improving, and eventually compete for a championship.

“My goal is to win and to see how far I can take this. Maybe the women’s featherweight champ one day. I have a lot of confidence in myself and can’t wait to see what happens.”
